Check out my sci-fi series: Echo!

Echo is where I started my writing journey. The series has four books, and is filled with musings on society and existence, along with big doses of violence (especially in book 2) as well as psychic stuff and existential philosophy (book 3 and 4). You can see me get a firmer grip on dialogue, description, action, perspective, and symbolism as you progress through the series. #Kindle #KindleUnlimited #writingcommunity #writer #booktok #writerscommunity #writing

  1. Great article. I don’t normally find the time to read books nowadays, but your novel “Echo” has definitely caught my curiosity. I’ve often been a huge fan of the fantasy book genre. I grew up reading J.K. Rowling’s iconic Harry Potter book series. I also love fantasy movies that deal with existential questions concerning life. Your book brought to mind Frank Herbert’s “Dune” book. Just wondering whether that was a possible inspiration behind your book. I recently had the opportunity to see “Dune: Part Two” and blown away by it. The sequel shares many of the similar themes you discussed are in your book. Here’s why I recommend the film strongly:

    • I’ve tried to read Dune a couple of times, but it just never clicked with me. Loved part I though! I tried to read it again after I saw it, because I wanted to see how Herbert described the ornithopters. Very much looking forward to seeing part II!

  2. I love the Dune books and the movies… Mr. Kent Wayne… Are you sure you’re not related to Bruce Wayne? You sir are now my favorite real-life secret identity!

    • When I was younger and angrier, I definitely identified with Batman, but now I’m more of a Superman fan, because his real superpower is he’s genuinely just a really nice guy–most people with his powers wouldn’t behave nearly as kindly or justly as he does. Although to be fair, I still enjoy the benefits of my previous Batman focus, like discipline and strategy and all that jazz, it’s just I’m leaning more into nonjudgment and being a nicer person!
