Echo-A Dystopian Science Fiction Novel

People that prefer cats have taken over the world!   Aloof, meticulous, unwilling to be goofy and fun…and they’re hunting down us dog people!  I’m running through a crumbling, post-apocalyptic San Franciscan alley with my 10 lb. terrier Bitefighter when four cat people in immaculate suits step out from the end of the alley.  “You dog people,” one of them sneers, “With your smiles and your slobber and your well-endowed loins.  Prepare to receive your due.”  And then they’re charging at me.  I open my eReader to Echo.  Magic flash.  Bitefighter looks up at me, letting a querulous grumble slip from his scruffy, old-man terrier face.  I know that sound:  He’s about to let loose heinous destruction from his back end.  I pick him up and shoulder him like a sub-machine gun, his butt facing toward my attackers.  I hear a warning lurch, then a tornado of poop launches out and envelopes the cat people.  They’re screaming in horror.  Like a badass noir hero, I spark up a cigarette, cupping a flame that dances light over my face in a hard-boiled flicker.  I grin at the gasping cat people, then toss the lighter toward them.  It travels in a slow-motion arc, then ignites them in a brilliant inferno.  As they’re screaming, I say, “Burn in hell.”

Cat people about to get you?  Counter with burning poop and a one-liner!  Get Echo Vol. 1 on Kindle here:  Vol. 1 on Kindle.  Vol. 2 on Kindle here:  Vol.2 on Kindle. Links for Vol.2 on Smashwords/Nook/iBooks/Kobo are available here:  Echo on other platforms
