I have to have faith I can learn something valuable from “bad” outcomes, and even turn them into unexpected gains.
Otherwise, I will never risk anything, and I will rot in my comfort zone. All because I fear a “bad” outcome.

Absolute truth. If you don’t, you stay in one spot and stagnate. Or just become bad tempered…probably the same thing.

Balancing the acceptable level of risk with the potential rewards is the hallmark of successful people. Even an NFL quarterback deals with a similar scenario on every pass play.
