Word Count, Vol.4: ย Over 200k. ย I’ve decided to stop counting until I’m finished.

Thanks to All Who Bought Echo! ย And BIG THANKS to Melissa, Barbara, Ian, Lorna, [anonymous], Lisa, Meg, Matt, Bobby, F.T., Alice Smith, Leslie Coop, Richard, Shauna, Sydney, Pam, Jessica, Angela, Kiesa, Ross, Keith, Alice, Daina, Daniel, Yolanda, Trace, Books4me, Vince, Laurie, DAE, Jace, and Matthew for posting AMAZING reviews on Amazon!!! ย Ashley too for the 5 star on Nook! ย Iโ€™d like to reiterate that leaving a positive review for any author is the equivalent of leaving $100 tip at a restaurant (I know some authors whoโ€™d actuallyย pay thatย much for a good review). ย Although I sincerely appreciate any love you leave me on Amazon, please consider leaving a review for ANYย author you know, simply as a random act of kindnessโ€ฆbecause itโ€™ll mean the worldย to โ€™em! ย (A good place to start areย those Iโ€™ve listedโ€”a few of them are authors. ย Let me know if you want me to put you in touch with โ€™em and Iโ€™ll be more than happy to do so! ย And no, you donโ€™t need to have purchased their book to leave a review on Amazon; you simply needed to have used Amazon at one time or another to leave whatโ€™s called an โ€œunverified purchaseโ€ review. ย If you purchased their book at the store or on another eReader, you can still leave a review for them.)

News:ย  I’m deep in the climax of Echo 4, I’d estimate over halfway through.ย  It’s kind of a mind-bending answer-all-of-existence climax, so I’m treading carefully.ย  Now that I’ve touched up Echo 3 and re-uploaded it, I’m not editing, so I’m going back to a heavy word count.ย  I started doing 2k words/day again, and I figure I’ll work my way up to 3.5k a day if it feels right (I always like to do at least 2k a day, ‘cos that’s what Stephen King does).ย  I got some cool-looking wrist braces that should help stave off the carpal tunnel, and also make me look like some kind of future fighter.ย  That’s about it for this week.ย  If you’re a writer, then I wish you inspired drafting and insightful editing!!!

  1. Have you thought of doing NaNoWriMo to help with the word count? It should make it more fun knowing a lot of other writers are suffering along with you! One of my team mates just signed up.

    1. Nah I don’t really need impetus to crank out words; at this point my supplemental duties (ads and posts and interaction) actually take up more of my time than the actual drafting. Drafting’s the fun/easy part lol!
