Echo-A Dystopian Science Fiction Novel

I’m at the beach, eyes closed, drinking in the glorious sound of the surf caressing rocks and sand, drifting off, when suddenly a drone flies right into my motha duckin’ face!  My 10 lb terrier Bitefighter, snoozing beside me, wakes up and yelps in terror.  I sit up, sputtering, and I see a bunch of tech bros with their yuppie-issue dates circled around a fire about ten yards away.  They’re shrieking in laughter.  I grit my teeth.  Open my eReader to Echo.  Magic flash.  An army of tiny barbarians pours out of the eReader.  They saddle Bitefighter and charge toward the tech bros.  I see them working in teams; two of them open a bro’s eyelids while another start punching the dude’s eye.  A couple of ’em peel back another bro’s lips while one of them pees on his teeth.  And there are multiple full-body, flying dropkicks to nutsacks.  The bros are thrown into chaos, flailing, screaming, and they make a run for their douchey-ass Hummers.  And me?  You guessed it—I’m laughing my balls off.
