Suppression.
Termination.

But with Verus,
there were no weapons.

Only hands.
Only breath.
Only the space between two bodies.

He couldn’t articulate why it mattered.

Only that somewhere in the exchange,
something inside him was being revealed.

The war is external. The evolution is not.
