Three men down.

One crying.

One clutching a shattered wrist.

One holding the blood pouring from his eye socket.

Atriya stood still, breathing evenly.

The knives lay scattered across the street.

Control wasn’t the fight.

Control was what happened after the fight.

He used his boot to herd the weapons toward the gutter, careful not to step too close to Benson.

“Face on the ground,” he growled.

Benson turned his head anyway.
