Two words.

Boost me.

The linkup would respond instantly.

Adrenaline.
Hormonal floods.
Reaction speed sharpened to something almost inhuman.

For a few moments, a shooter became more than trained.

He became engineered.

Most operators loved the feeling.

Atriya feared it.

Because once a machine can override your body…

It becomes very easy for it to override everything else.

One command can turn a soldier into a weapon.

    Those two words carry so much weight here. Really chilling and thought-provoking writing. This is a powerful concept. The idea that a simple command like “Boost me” can override a human body is both fascinating and unsettling. It really raises questions about how much control soldiers would actually have in a system like this.

      Good to hear from you, Natalie! I’m not religious, but upon seeing your message, I said a little out loud prayer for you to get settled smoothly and easily into your job and apartment (Figure it can’t hurt, and it makes me feel good, at least).
