“Echo Volume 2: The Taste of Ashes follows our protagonist Atriya into a very violent and gritty battle. This is definitely more technical than the first novel, but somehow, the desriptions of the weaponry seems to it pull you into the battle. We also get a glimps of how our protagonists mind works. Atriya develops as a character due to both spiritual and emotional awakenings. I can’t wait to find out where this story goes. don’t shy away from the technical “talk” in this novel, it only deepens ones insight into the mind of the many warrior characters.”
