Musings

The proper view of the esoteric is not to use it as an excuse to shroud elitism in mystery/novelty, but to see it as a humble admittance that all may not be as it seems.

  1. Very much agree with this philosophy. I once started writing about my views on Magick with this premise. I wanted to demystify the mystical. Unfortunately if you make it both real and simple people will tear it apart and refuse to believe it is real. It seems most people want the mystery and the cloudiness…

  2. This is one of your best posts yet! We all try to complicate things; for what purpose, I fail to understand. Maybe because if we “get it” when the answer is simple it doesn’t mean as much to us as if we get it when it is difficult. Sort of a “pat yourself on the back, you elite genius!” But we should help others to see the truth that we discover as well. It doesn’t need to be hard. And complicating it just ensures it will be misunderstood by others. I think that’s why so many people are against “magick” in the first place.
