Musings

Both disciplined persistence and brash audacity are separately championed, but rarely have I heard the truth:  Which is that both are needed.

I’ve seen the disciplined toil endlessly away but falter when it comes time to take that spectacular, once-in-a-decade shot.  I’ve seen the bold refuse to discipline themselves, never acquiring the conditioning to weather severer environments.

Both are needed:  Audacity to snatch those cubic centimeters of chance, and discipline to steadily acquire toughness, so that one can endure those harsh heights where the rarest opportunities lay waiting to be plucked.
