Musings

While acknowledging an outcome, I find it useful to internally allow my emotional reaction to that outcome, even if it’s an antagonistic expression, such as anger or avoidance. If I try to jump straight to acceptance, I often leave an unresolved tangle of conflicting emotions, which nag and exhaust me if I fail to process them out.

  1. I completely understand what you mean. If I do not allow myself to feel all I have to feel and try to jump straight to acceptance or letting go, I battle with conflicting emotions that drown me. thanks for sharing. I can totally relate

  2. You really can’t genuinely accept something if you skip the process of acceptance itself. That’s conformity, which is rarely helpful if it isn’t done willingly and with good reason.
