The goal of all philosophy/religion/pursuits of knowledge seems to be a perceptual shift that accounts for all of reality. HOW that shift is executed is where traditions differ and where traditions fail–I’d say because they focus too much on the HOW, instead of the shift itself.
Whatever works, right? 😉
I think that the struggles between religion, philosophy, and knowledge have contributed a lot to our society. They all have their own place in history and in the present.
