Musings

Handling failure is more than just enduring discomfort-that just leads to accumulated damage.  It’s really about setting aside ego and delving deep into the lessons of the wondrous gift that is “failure.”

The real win, IMHO, is having a spirit so refined/creative/disciplined that it effortlessly turns misfortunes into gains.

  1. How very true. I have three published volumes of failure. I still read them, there’s so much to learn (and they were fun to produce…… at the time)

    • Yeah! I like to think that the failures are just delayed wins; they just take a little finagling on our part and they might not be as directly gratifying as a win, but they will pay off if we’re patient, accepting, and diligent

      • We need to fail I think. And you know what I think it’s one of the ways you can divide human beings. People have 2 choices..own up, take responsibility, be humble, honest, try a new approach….OR I see people, so called grown ups avoiding all of that and blaming..its fascinating to observe..its someone else. Little babies really…if only they understood how much more powerful you are by choosing option 1. “I fucked up” instantly makes you a winner..i think

      • I think that’s a way to keep positivity and honesty going, but I suspect in the end it becomes just enjoy the fuck out of what you’re doing, and no matter how bad you do or how good you do, you will be taken care of. 🙂
