Echo-A Dystopian Science Fiction Novel

I’m in the back of a cab, conversing with my cabbie, who has the grace and old-world charm of Morgan Freeman, when suddenly a pizza splats the windshield, and we’re swerving dangerously as a car of douche-bros drive past us, hooting and hollering.  Cabbie opens an eReader to Echo.  Magic flash.  Our cab transforms into a Chris Nolan Batmobile-like monster.  Cabbie grits his teeth, channels Clint Eastwood, and says, “Hang on to something.”  We swipe the bros.  They smash into a sanitation truck and get covered in rancid poop.  Their agonized hollers fuel our mile-wide smiles.
