Musings

The infectivity of ideas and awareness…it’s all accelerated in recent decades, and while we may destroy ourselves before we actualize ourselves, I don’t believe that will be the case.  We make bounds and leaps, and sometimes the landings are hard, but in the grand view of things, how can we NOT be positive and enthusiastic?  If it’s over soon anyways, I’ll enjoy it while I can, and laugh at my old and dour self.  That music we hear is meant to be danced to, not to reservedly appreciate while we lurk in the corners and try to look cool.

  1. I think a lot of people suffer too much, for that being the complete explanation and proper attitude. Still at the core you are right.

    Thanks for sharing.

    • While it may be controversial, and having been in the military and a watcher of the news I see that there is extreme suffering, it’s the view I adopt the older I get. I’ve read of people able to maintain their mental composure while they were being burned to death or sliced to pieces. Now I agree with your reservation on one level: One should never judge another for being pessimistic; who knows what they’ve been through, or what led them to think that way? Still—on a personal level, the deeper I explore the cracks between reality, the ones that slip by society, the ones that you have to look for, (sometimes on the tenth page of a Google search, haha!), the more I believe that there is something good underneath it, and the bad will be proven to be illusion. BUT, the danger lies in judging others for believing differently.
