Echo-A Dystopian Science Fiction Novel

I’m surrounded by a mob of extreme athletes.  They keep shouting, “EXTREME!” then chugging a mountain dew and crushing it on their foreheads.  They’re getting the stuff all over me.  Annoyed, I open my eReader to Echo and it flashes with magic light.  A swarm of bees appears over the horizon, and out of nowhere, the air fills with the strains of Flight of the Valkyries.  The bees start going to town on the Extremes and shouts of “EXTREME!” turn into panicked screams.  They run off and away.  Where they belong.
