Musings

Tending/managing the body’s baser needs is not weakness; it is humble acknowledgement. Those who pretend differently invite the propagation of ignorance, the pain of suppression, and—if they are unlucky—an involuntary meltdown.

  1. I struggle with this. To base your strength in voluntary action, to courageously step into the vastness of human nature. To dip your finger in the thick blood of morality and the ethical, critical foundation is somewhat cringeworthy. Somewhat because it gives a truthful foreboding message. I suppose you must do it to find life, to regenerate your senses to their full potential.

    • Indeed. Our bodies can function as traps of vice, or we can openly acknowledge their pulls and use them to hone our minds not by denying them, but by channeling them appropriately. We should seek to harmonize with the tools we are given, lest they turn on us later on.
