Echo-A Dystopian Science Fiction Novel: Update

Echo Volume 2 Word Count:  38691

News:  Still on my social media break!  Disciplining myself to do 1000 words a day (except Saturdays, gotta keep one day to myself), and edit 3 chapters a day.  I am up to Chapter 11 in Echo, Volume 2, and in my head I’m roughly halfway done with the events in this volume.  I know there are some amazing readers out there (some of who are already accomplished writers, which I feel extremely privileged to hear positive feedback from, as I’m sure they can spot every single inconsistency and mistake I make, yet are still patient and kind enough to read my stuff) who are waiting to see what happens next and I’m keeping you guys in mind as I push to make personal quota on my drafting/editing every day!  As an aside, big thanks to those who gave me positive reviews for Echo Volume 1:  Melissa, Barbara, Ian, and [anonymous].  Thanks!  Anyways, back to work!  To all you writers, I wish you inspired drafting and insightful editing!

  1. 1000 words a day is good. Graham Greene did 500 exactly – liked to stop in mid-sentence so he’d have something to start on next day

    1. Ernest Hemingway did the same. His technique to prevent writer’s block was to stop so that he always had something the next day to write about.
