Mini-update: I detest dishonesty when it isn’t necessary (but sometimes you need to omit/lie in order to avoid injuring/hurting) so I just wanted to put this out there: I personally know Richard Schmitt and he decided to buoy me with a 5 star review on Amazon after he saw I got a 3 star. He is an awesome guy and though I only interact with him once every few months or so, he was invaluable in the early 2 chapters of Echo, pointing out my stupid mistakes. He was the second person to buy Echo. Nepotism? Probably. 🙂 I just wanted to let that out and be open about things. (I’m not stupid, I’m sure Amazon reviews are stacked with personal acquaintances in the first few days, but still). On another note…class has been picking up and I’m gonna roll the philosophy back to 2 posts/day, or Melissa Rehurek will beat the pee out of me! Love writing but I’d be an idiot to slack on class. As a military vet I get PAID to go to school, and I think that’s a huge opportunity that I should be serious about. Sorry about that, soon as it dies down I’ll pick up posting again. As always, thank you all for your interest and if you are writers, I wish you inspired drafting and insightful editing! 🙂
The First Rule of Sales is to get the Buyer to like you and to do that, you have to connect with the Audience. I don’t see a problem with that because that’s how it’s done. Best wishes. 🙂

Thank You! Sometimes, it is pretty tiring though…I can see why actors get burnt out, and I’m just doing social media stuff!

I’m there with you. I don’t have a specific marketing plan with regard to my writing. I simply like interacting with others when I’m not hunched over the Creative Anvil. 🙂

I just give free stuff at all levels, short snippets for those who don’t want to read chapters off the bat, chapters for those who don’t want to buy books off the bat, and just a lot of outreach and interaction

Those are good ways to go. I ran a few free book promotions for my first three books a few times and of course, sharing excerpts on the blog for the most current stuff. I think it all adds up eventually.

Yeah, I try to inject my writing everywhere, even in the ads I try to make them into a free funny little story. I think that sends out good energy and people will eventually buy the actual book.

I agree with that. I’m not the most business-minded person where it comes to marketing my books. I just enjoy writing and putting my work out there.

Haha I’m actually the opposite and I have to work to be creative

There are many roads to the same destination. I’ve been creative since I was about 10 so that part comes naturally…hehe.

Good morning! Nose to the grindstone mister! What are you studying?

Accounting believe it or not. While the outer theory and practice don’t interest me, I like learning about the deeper principles of money as a flow of energy. It’s crazy that we use paper and plastic to pay for tangible things like food and shelter.

You know what? That’s pretty cool! You have balance between your creative and logical sides! (Or whatever that’s called) Best of luck to you!
