Echo-A Dystopian Science Fiction Novel

I’m at a wedding.  As the 5 ft cake is brought out, it starts toppling.  Impending disaster.  Suddenly, a cybertech-linkup wearing future ninja from Echo appears, drawing two pistols and just blasting the hell out of that scrumptious monolith.  After the smoke clears I see that he’s shot the dessert into perfect pieces; they’ve fallen impeccably onto every empty plate.  Ninja disappears.  Somebody takes a bite.

“This cake tastes DELICIOUS!”

Gun-flavored cake?  Freaking delicious.  Want some?  Read Echo.

    1. Hahaha! Sometimes you gotta sprinkle a little imagination on it when you get tired of smiley/talkey. 🙂

      1. Especially in an uncomfortable suit (or dress). I’ve only been to a handful of weddings that were actually any fun!

      2. Didn’t want to say it…Glad you did! It was like watching everybody step into a caricature/cliche because that was all they knew.

    1. Thank you! I sent it to
