Moving to SoCal

I’ll be moving to SoCal over the next few days.  Usually, I respond on my blog Monday through Saturday, and on FB Tue/Thu/Sat.  I’ll throw up some prescheduled posts, but prolly won’t respond until Wednesday or Thursday.  Talk to y’all soon!

      I have a condo there which I paid off the mortgage on. I got the tenant out so I could remodel it, sell it, and buy more profitable properties, but the condo market sucks and no one’s buying. Figured I could move back in and tap the equity through a line of credit. I was looking to get out of SF anyway…🤷‍♂️

        Absolutely! I was getting kinda tired of SF…hard to believe the food is better in SD, but other people I’ve spoken to say the same thing.

        I was able to fit my stuff in a cargo van, only taking up half the interior. Benefits of being a Man Child! Downsides include having very little furniture, haha!

        Same when I moved, we managed to fit everything into my old man’s sedan. I did have to get all new furniture too, other than my work desk. Furnishing a kitchen was the worst part, that stuff can get expensive!

        Luckily I still got all my kitchen stuff…I’m thinking of getting some free furniture, since I have more space, but I’m worried about bed bugs. Maybe just another desk to start with…

        Maybe some patio stuff would do until you can get nicer stuff? Less chances of bedbugs, and still better than no furniture! 🙂

    I’ve been posting for a year about the high taxes and prices, lack of jobs, etc… Just finally escaped out of California too. 🙂

      I was actually trying to sell a condo I have in socal so I could ditch it for more profitable properties, but the condo market crashed and I liked living in it before, so I figured why not live rent free for a bit, tap the equity, and wait for things to even out?
