I’ve Returned From Peru!!!

Hello everybody!  Just got back from Peru last midnight.  I see that the Amaze-O Vikki Goldberg left an awesome 5-star for Echo Volume 2’s eighth review!  Thanks Vikki!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Okay give me a day or two to get sorted—I’ve gotta answer everyone’s comments then I’ll get back to my regular philosophy posts & ridiculous ads.  I’ll sum up Peru thusly:  Was able to keep the writing up except for 3 days (‘cos of travel), I got to poke around the Amazon, the chicken and fries are bomb, and I had some life-changing insights.  In short—IT WAS AWESOME!!!  Okay, I love ALL you guys (even you three-star reviewers, haha!) and I’ll be responding to everyone soon!  Right now I’m gonna hit the gym, attend to some financial loose ends, and then it’s back to my fun-as-hell life!  WHOOO!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

    1. Oh absolutely! Didn’t realize how strict ‘merca was—even NorCal—compared to Peru! But it’s cool, everybody’s got their quirks, you know? Leads to variety!

      1. I remember coming back from China (this is many, many years ago) and thinking how safe everything was. Like, no pipes spewing boiling water into the street, railings everywhere, people paying attention to things like traffic laws…it was shocking.

      2. Wish it was a little more exciting but I guess that’s on me to recreate, haha!

      3. When in doubt, create excitement! Just not enough to require a trip to the lawyer.

  5. I’d love to hear more about your experience in Peru! I’ve heard it’s wonderful and want to plan a trip there next year or the year after.

    1. Absolutely! I may post a blog or something but between you and me, fire away! General stuff: i was in Iquitos and people were poor but not desperate. It was right up against the jungle, and while there are cars, there are more moto-taxis (kind of like a rickshaw but instead of a runner as the driver there’s a guy on a motorcycle). Food is mainly chicken, fries, and rice. Lots of ayahuasca tourism. The jungle looks surprisingly like the forest in the midwest or east coast, but with a few frond plants here and there. And it is humid and hot, of course!

  6. Can we expect a detailed review about Peru here 🙂
So, the one who cannot visit can live the place in the post 🙂

    1. I may or may not do one, but as a long-time meditator and person who is interested in mysticism and spirituality I wanted to experience ayahuasca and DMT which is odd for me (never done any drugs, don’t drink or smoke), but if I gave you a detailed review, it would be around those experiences. Not sure how well the idea of psychedelics sits with you or most people (which is why I’m hesitant about writing a full-on blog post detailing a schedule I controlled substance as deemed in the U.S and a host of 1st world countries) but ask away and I’ll be happy to answer!
