At a farmer’s market. A gaggle of teenage girls are cooing over a tiny Yorkie, it’s hair bound up in knots and bows and wearing a ridiculous doggie shirt. Sad, tiny eyes lock onto me. They say, “I’m tired of being small, tired of being a plaything.” I open my eReader to Echo and it flashes with magic light. Suddenly the Yorkie is transformed into a huge slobberfuss of a Saint Bernard, and it gallops between stalls, gulping food down. People shout in surprise, and before they get their bearings, the big guy bounds away, drool slinging backwards from his happy grin.

Gotta love the big ones! JK, I like all of ’em, even the little yappy guys

Well, the little yappy guys tend to be more aerodynamic. Not that I would know about that, of course….hehe.

Nah it’s cool. I’ve been known to give my little dog some fun whee-time!

I used to make a joke about punting small animals into oncoming traffic. Boy, did I ever catch some static over that…heh.

Crazy how people can accept jokes a lot easier in movies and books, right? Why not in person? I feel like there’s a little bit of brainwashing there.

I’m guessing that in books and movies, it’s easier to accept a made up character saying these things than a flesh and blood person. Yes, it is crazy.
