Ok. Time to adjust. Had a warning sign yesterday: I woke up at 2am and couldn’t go back to sleep because I couldn’t stop thinking of the things I’d scheduled for myself. So as much as it pains me to do so, I’m going to take the last seven to ten days of each month as a social media break. The only things I will post are weekly updates on Echo, and strip my daily outreach down to wordpress follows (no comment interaction) during this period. This will allow me to focus on drafting and editing during that last 1/3 to 1/4 of the month instead of constant interaction, and I owe it to some very supportive and awesome readers of mine (Melissa R., Barbara C., Melissa K., Hazel, Ian, Leslie, Vikki…sorry if I forgot your name, this is exactly why I’m forcing myself to dial social media down for the last 1/3 to 1/4 of the month) to stop spending as much time doing social media marketing (right now it takes about 1-1.5 hrs a day) and put down more than 400 words a day. During these periods I’m going to shoot for 1k words per day minimum, and try to edit 3 chapters instead of 2. So next post you see will be on sunday as a general news update. Sorry for ghosting like this but I’ve learned the importance of paying attention to the signs, and right now they tell me to throttle back on marketing and get back to the basics. So I’m gonna try this out and see how it goes. Talk to you guys on Sunday! Thanks for the support!
