News: I’m done with the big battle-climax in Volume 3 and I’m currently drafting the epilogue, which I hope will be just as explosive, but in more of a philosophical way. This book bounces around between Verus and Atriya, so a lot of the chapters end up being shorter as they try to create thematic parallels between their two journeys. (I’m closing in on my 53rd chapter! Odin’s Raven!) I’m about a month past my goal to release a book every six months, but I’m kind of okay with it.
My editing sword is out and swinging: I believe I’ve been chopping around 3k words a week, but two weeks ago I actually outpaced my drafting, which is 5k words a week, and ended up chopping 7k for a net loss of 2k that week. My goal before I get out of school in the next 20 or so months is to finish the Echo series, and also have at least volume 1 of Gul’Thak Barbarian Valley girl published.
Anyways, if you are a writer, I wish you inspired drafting and insightful editing!!!
