Thank You Pam!!! Echo Vol. 1’s 22nd Review

Pam Canepa, You Are AWESOME!!! Β πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ˜€ Β Thank you for leaving Echo’s 22nd review (and having it be a positive one, whew!) Β Review’s at the bottom.

Well, Echo’s rating is now 4.2 and that coveted star at the end is now empty, haha! Β Not gonna lieβ€”that’s probably good to keep my ego in check ‘cos I used to get wound up about whether it was half-filled or notβ€”but hell people, I’m just glad I can entertain you folks Β (In all honesty, my ego reared up a while back and I talked my buddy Richard Schmitt into posting a five-star for Echo 1, so sorry Amazon, you can have my first-born child if you want or whatever your policy is nowadays for false reviews, haha! Β And yep, I personally put five stars on all my books on goodreads as myselfβ€”who doesn’t vote for themselves? Β Come on, hahaha!). Β When you guys buy a copy of Echo or leave a positive review, that’s the best damn money/validation I’ve ever earned in my entireΒ life. Β I’ve always felt like I’m either just a cog in the machine or perpetuating the system, you know? Β Producing books and having someone do me the privilege of paying for one and even more than that, leaving a good review, is an INCREDIBLE honor for me. Β I know this sounds cheesy, but it makes me feel like a real American; I’m not just moving money around or perpetuating to perpetuateβ€”I’m making stuff. Β Not to say that there’s anything wrong with any of the other activities/jobs out there, but this is aΒ measure I can’t help but apply to myself. Β On the grander scale: Β Know that whatever you do, you are loved. Β Even if I or anybody else pitches a fit and makes a snide/judgmental remark to you, you’re living your life that way for a damn good reason; don’t let anybody tell you different. Β Okay, here’s the review!

“I like this writer’s style of language. It seems almost flawless to me. Of course, there is a good deal of military jargon and the obligatory curses. This book is very gritty and fits the military drama. It starts with the horrible treatment of lackluster recruits. The sci-fi element mostly shows up later in the book with the “Enhanciles” and the “Wraiths.” Verus is a very interesting character, though I feel that much of the dialogue between her and Atriya went on a bit long. Echo also leaves us hanging at the end, but that is a plot technique that sometimes works quite well. Overall, interesting book.” Β β€”Pam Canepa
