Thank you SO MUCH, all of you who bought Echo Volume 1!!! SUPER THANKS to those who left amazing (and lenient, haha!) reviews! Specifically, thank you to Melissa, Barbara, Ian, Lorna, [anonymous], Lisa, and Meg for posting AMAZING reviews on Amazon!!! And Ashley as well for the 5 star on Nook!
Well, I went back and revised chapter 3-it was definitely put out prematurely. The writing was clunky, redundant, and had sloppy pacing. There is a slow quality to it, as Atriya is shaking off the effects of the dream surf, and that was fine, but it was too start-and-stop. Right now I’m aiming to edit 5-7 chapters a day. I have 26 chapters total, an epilogue, and an afterword. So that means, every four days, a chapter gets re-edited.
I’m fairly certain that volume 2 will be release-ready by the end of this month the way things are going. It looks very unlikely that I’ll have to push into March, and if I do, it will only be a little bit. Sorry for the delay!
To the recent readers of Echo-Thanks for putting up with my first attempt at fiction, as well as the short word count (a little under 50k). Hopefully, volume 2 will go easier over your brain, as it’s around 80k and the same price as volume 1. For those of you who get turned off by that, I plan on releasing compiled sets, with the base price of one volume ($2.99) and each volume that’s added being half price ($1.50) so for compiled set of volume 1 and 2, it will be $4.49 ($2.99 + $1.50). That will be released a few months after the individual release of volume 2. Nevertheless, my promise is that all four individual purchases of volumes will run no higher than $11.96 ($2.99 x 4), or the price of a pizza! (That’s for you, Melissa! 🙂 ) That will be the most supportive option for me and I deeply thank those of you who choose to go this route. I’ve got the compilation artwork in hand, and it’s pretty beast. You guys will see it sometime next month.
Enough chatter! Back to work! To all you writers, I wish you inspired drafting and insightful editing!
