Okay, just received cover for volume 2, and as you can see, you got a Retrieval guy in front with exoskeleton. When I first saw the lights on the rifle I was like “that’s too bright for a realistic rifle” but then I used it for inspiration for an additional setting piece (that’ll be a few chapters into volume 2) and as you can see, guns and kablooey will be a big part of volume 2. Scroll down to see the original and why I wanted it changed.

And here is the original image which I requested modified. I enjoyed the general composition of it, but there were a few problems that stuck out here: The guy didn’t look iconic enough. His head is too big and makes him look scrawny, kind of like if you ever see an actor in real life: Bobble head and big eyes. Takes away from the message. If the presence of the guy had been good enough I would have gone with this one, as I really like the headgear. And scroll down to see info on my artist who’s way cheaper than your regular guy.

Before I forget…Big ups to Elsbro for working so hard on these. Find Elsbro at fiverr.com (think he’s the top rated fantasy illustrator) He’ll do your fonts (he redid mine) A detailed background is $25, detailed foreground is $25, and commercial license is $25. If you’re an author that doesn’t want to spend $300 + for art that may be good but drowns in conformity with the rest of the covers, I recommend elsbro on fiverr: https://www.fiverr.com/elsbro (Always tip well)
