Even when bad things are happening, I do my best to pretend there’s a good reason behind their occurrence.  That way, I cue my subconscious to look for the hidden advantages and opportunities within seemingly adverse events.

I think one of the greatest judgments to place on an experience is:  “that’s the best thing that ever happened to me.”  

Of course you could argue whether that’s true or false, but consistently stating that to myself primes my perception to accept/find/utilize any lessons within the experience that turns my mantra from belief into truth.

It is possible, I believe, to re-program the subconscious by consistently recognizing an undesirable/reactive thought pattern, then deliberately countering it with a desirable one, which will eventually replace its obsolete predecessor.

In this way, I believe one can destroy the collection of beliefs/tendencies that could roughly define the”self” or “ego” and turn a negative self-image into a positive one.

And when that happens, the subconscious ceases to block opportunity/amplify obstacles, and it aggressively presents you with avenues to success.

Whether it’s magic or science, psychologists, mentalists, and doctors have proven that belief and self-image is a tangible force; it can heal the body, create and destroy fortunes, and open the mind to unseen opportunities.  Stay in the realm of what viscerally feels “realistic,” but reach for improvement as often as possible.  Don’t be afraid to use imagination.

I believe there’s usually a way (maybe always a way) to have the time of my life with whatever I’m doing.

When thoughts creep in about how much better someone else has it, I remind myself that people can be absolutely miserable in the lap of luxury.

The real treasure is focusing on how good I have it now, and having faith that everything I’ve been through has been for the best.
