Try and have faith. But if you can’t feel faith, then reach for apathy. If you can’t feel apathy, you reach for anger/despair/sorrow…
I work with what I feel, knowing that there will be a moment it runs its course and opens into a better-feeling state. The key isn’t to try and force positivity, but watching for those moments of allowance when I can shift my mind into a higher resonance.

I don’t think you should ever reach for apathy. That feels like trying to cure pain with poison. It works, but not in the way you’d want it to.

Apathy is better than despair, boredom is better than apathy, optimism even better. It’s about resonating with what’s available and reaching for something better, as long as it’s resonant. False positivity only amplifies resonant negativity.

Hmm, wouldn’t you say apathy is a result of despair? When the person bows its head in defeat and no longer cares? I feel the state of despair is terrifying, but there still is a sliver of hope that things will get better.

Woops, pardon me! I only realised I wasn’t replying to your comment only after posting, haha.

Being apathetic can work in favor of action and positivity. If someone truly stops caring, then their mind can let go of resistance and become truly adaptive, truly proactive. In desperate circumstances, it can be the best option, and a springboard back into positivity.
