After a base level of discipline has been established, it seems that “not quitting” is no longer the primary concern. The major determinant to success, at that point, seems to be quitting everything that’s holding me back.

Indeed. I like to say establish discipline first, then refine strategy. Discipline and strategy seem to apply to everything.

I took over 800 words to write something similar in a blog post earlier. Will Struck of Strunk and White fame must be rolling over in his grave if he saw the post. Good work.
