Musings

Iโ€™m a firm believer that stuffing dark things into deeper darkness (I have to admit itโ€™s incredibly comfortable) is not the way to go. ย Itโ€™s best to drag them into the light of examination and acknowledgement, where even though it hurts, you can keep them small and manageable.ย  I donโ€™t necessarily have to tell anyone about them, but I do have to be comfortable enough to where if I did, the only consideration would be if it was a practical thing to do, rather than whether or not it hurts my ego.

  1. Yes, stuffing the dark things into pockets only will bore holes. The bad seeds scatter, and we inadvertently sow more pain. Succinctly and effectively written. I loved it!

    1. Thanks Rummager! (I’ll probably repeat it at some point; I just arrange whatever phrases the Shower Muse gifts me with and publish them, haha!)

    1. Indeed! I see it as a continuing theme throughout life and literature. We’re kept from success and transcendence by refusing to look at the entirety of ourselves, instead of just the good stuff. That’s when hero/villain development really gets interesting; when they both have to react to an unpleasant truth. ๐Ÿ™‚
