“At a certain point in one’s development, the dualistic concept of one teacher and one student must fade away.  In its stead will be the infinitely more organic idea of an autodidact:  one that absorbs knowledge from all angles, from all venues, regardless of how society judges these sources of wisdom.  Instead of one teacher, now there is an infinity of them.  And isn’t this what that first, singular teacher was pointing us towards anyways?”

    2. HAHAHA! Guess I should’ve been more specific and said that it works both ways. Thought it would go without saying, but I’m sure that you—like I—have seen that common sense isn’t common

Those incapable of absorbing lessons from the world around them… despite ‘who’re examples are… are doomed to the role of honorable sacrifice. 😏

    1. Well put! And I wonder what those individuals would say about their fate at the moment of sacrifice. Hopefully their ignorance would continue through to their last moment, so that they didn’t feel the horror of a wasted life. Not sure if that would be a good or bad thing actually
