As a writer, I must be willing to entertain as many points of view as possible, as deeply as I can.
Otherwise, I won’t have gleaned the insight and perspective that entices people to entertain MY point of view.

IMHO, the pain of pushing forward and falling short is infinitely better than the shame of being dragged along and feeling safe.
Character and opportunity typically come at the cost of comfort. When pursuing the first two, one must be willing to part with the third.
Self-mastery—IMHO—isn’t the occasional, glory-eliciting burst of effort, it is the ability to consistently apply yourself, to live in a way where you never dull and constantly sharpen. Applying yourself isn’t some inspiration-fueled sprint; it’s a way of life—a way of BEING.
Knowledge isn’t some foreboding mountain that we must all summit in the same way. Knowledge is relative and dynamic—a set of rolling logs that we each stumble, fall, and dance upon in a uniquely novel manner. The rough barometer of knowledge is how well it translates to performance, but IMHO, the true value of knowledge is in its potential to make life as fulfilling as possible.
IMHO, two things writing must have is clarity of thought and clarity of imagination. If the reader doesn’t have to muddle their way through a jumble of poorly formed thoughts and concepts, then they can proceed directly to those wondrous dimensions that the author is dying to share.
Momentum is often used as a guide (as to what direction to keep going in), but it is lazy and unproductive to coast unthinkingly on the tides of the past. IMHO, momentum should be used as a propellant, carefully ruddered by introspection and self-awareness.
Sometimes, the most loving thing you can do with yourself is to subject yourself to harsh demands and unwavering scrutiny.
Life is a joke that will eventually crack you up.
IMHO, it is not enough to settle for the mediocrity of thought that is imparted by unthinkingly accepting what is told to us. Cleanliness of thought arises from questioning all systems, from all angles and in all scenarios…
And using this inquiry to sharpen the very mechanism by which we question things.
