We see the same archetypes over and over—the same heroes and villains in different masks and different guises.

I’m not concerned with creating something wholly new so much as arranging these proven devices into a resonant configuration, so that they’ll channel transcendence to whoever beholds them.

    Good luck. The resonant archetypal configurations have already been established as well. Originality comes in the nitty gritty details. Or am I misunderstanding and you’re talking about the details?

      I think they resonate because they apply to daily life, so I’m just saying that I’m just arranging them in a way and context where they continue to resonate for a modern-day audience. I guess that would be the details.
