“Uninformed positivity invites disastrous consequences.”

—My interpretation of the maxims:  “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.” and:  “Ultimately evil is done not so much by evil people, but by good people who do not know themselves and who do not probe deeply.”

    1. Haha! Indeed! I feel that happy-go-lucky should be the favorable outcome, rather than the dogmatic approach which gravitates toward the unfavorable outcome, if that makes sense. 🙂

  2. Following the leader of “happiness” isn’t realistic to basic needs like health and emotional wellness. You know what I mean?

    1. Absolutely! I’ve spent many an evening groaning about the extra-large pizza I ate, along with the two-liter bottle mountain dew I chugged, all in less than an hour, haha!

      8. OH yeah! I also need to visit that one BBQ place in Texas that’s open like twice a month but draws people from all around the country. (I know Texas is giant, so even if I visit Austin, I realize I might have to drive for a few hours just to get me a taste, but I’d consider it well worth it!)

      10. Once I get all these dern books out of my head, for sure, haha! I’m a big fan of ribs—took me a few months of poking around to finally find a decent spot up here in SF. I’m a bit leery of the dry rub stuff though…personally I lean towards fall-off-the-bone, but hey—ribs is ribs! NOMS! 😀

      11. Funny thing you should mention ribs, they are either hit or miss for me. 🤷‍♀️I don’t know why. When I hear the word ribs, I lose interest. I am an adventurous eater though. I’ll eat beef liver and rabbit. Go figure!

      12. I’m not but I’d like to be; it seems that the real goodness is inside organs and healthier, stronger animals. I’d like to try elk one day. I feel like it’s a big ol’ helping of STRONG, lol!
