Musings

Do whatever floats your boatโ€”a heroic dose of psychedelics, meditation, prayer, ritual, magic, holy questsโ€ฆmy theory is that if you pursue a method to its given end, it’s only going to reveal that everyone/everything is interconnected, and to be brutally honest with yourself to keep your perception clear, which in turn allows you to intuit what is the best course of action…

Which will allow you to live the most fulfilling life possible.

  2. I just hope that connection helps give some guidance now and then. The honesty doesn’t always make the decision any easier…

    1. You know, I think really it’s about burning through our inner BS so we can look through a clear window, so to speak. I actually correlated an increase in creativity/contentment when I finally acknowledged to myself my five darkest secrets a few years ago. I’ve never been more ashamed or embarrassed in my life. Then, just to see if I’d conquered them or was fooling myself, I told them to a friend a few weeks ago, and sure enough, it was just a check in the box rather than a gut-check. But mine were kind of unsavory and embarrassing, not criminal. I can’t imagine what it would be like to do that if I was someone like Kevin Spacey or Jerry Sandusky. But if you asked me for an opinion, I would say that it is even more imperative that people like that confront their demons in a professional setting. But long story short, I think the clues became easier for me to see once I set my mental house in order.
