An author will draft his or her manuscript, and then edit edit EDIT…until the words are no longer painful to look at, despite the author having viewed them thousands of times over.
(Existence may follow this pattern as well). 😉

I read them a thousand times and they always read the same – right up until somebody else reads them!
I love revisiting my stuff. ☺️ It’s like going on an adventure every time. Must be the ADD talking, though.
Lol editing is painful sometimes.
Sometimes, it’s a lot of fun.
But usually, I would rather just keep on writing new things.
Ah yes, this. This is the culprit… The reason why I am not publishing as fast as I want to. 😄
C’mon. They’re always painful to look at. Especially after editing. Even after a million years
I don’t find them painful… Maybe a bit sickening, like digesting too much of myself over and over and over… It’s much nicer to gave a proofreader and editor lol
So you’re fine with having readers who love to read what you have to say, like myself, but people who genuinely (or for a fee) want to help you to edit your work are fear-inspiring? hahaha XD I suppose your writing will be 100% unique, untouched by the views of other. Probably pretty good reads!
Indeed, maybe not really painful to look at in that sense, but more fluid when reading, you know, smoother; they edit the ‘bumps’. If only people were as willing as words: to be edited until they’re not ‘painful’ to be around.
How did I miss this one!? haha. Exorcising your darlings… that’s writing (whoever said that). It never failed, if I hated it, everyone else loved it. Just like reality. Weird, huh? Writers therefore ALWAYS question reality, and their sanity.
