I’ve seen spiritualists smitten by outerwear, be it robes/begging bowl or suits/expensive brands. While those things are of occasional use in shifting perception, they forget: The soldier makes the uniform, not vice versa. Didn’t Hitler take a Buddhist holy symbol (swastika) and turn it vile? Being hung up on “high/low” vibe objects is a misuse of energy. My approach is to hone my mind and spirit until whatever I touch, whatever I wear, is mistaken by those with less awareness as the source of my clarity.

Except you and I…We both know better.

For every moment of every day
I look deep in the mirror and I say:
“Have I done all I could? Have I done my best?”
And if I answer honestly, whether it be Yea or Nay,
Then for that moment-just that one SINGLE moment-
I’ve passed a Higher kind of Test.

There isn’t enough “you” to make more than a few stories/pieces. To consistently tap that glory that graces your art with a higher truth, get “you” out of the way.

Only then will a force of all colors, including ones we can only imagine, be transmitted with the purest iridescence. You call it what you want. I’ve seen it misinterpreted so many times, I like to leave it nameless.

When I contemplate, I try to see the same concept described in an infinity of ways: As sad, as happy, as funny, as serious, as dark, as uplifting…

I do this not just to expand my versatility as a writer, but to expand the versatility of my consciousness.

If any of you harbor the same incendiary rage that I do, don’t deny it. Use it to assault your inner shortcomings and weaknesses, strangling the life from them until they lay cold and forgotten where they belong.

Musings

Good art is therapy: you break from the exhausting effort it takes to maintain an identity and allow a massive, unseen force of symmetry to express itself through you.

It’s not so much creating as allowing creation to happen.
