If everything happens for a reason then giving in to frustration/throwing a tantrum is a result of shortsightedness and patience/adaptability is a way of honoring the Universe.

Batman inspires us by prevailing over metahumans through willpower/resourcefulness. Superman inspires us not because of his immense power, but because of the strong heart that keeps him from abusing it.
When the two meet, I see great potential for a yin/yang parable about the importance of harmony; the dual need for ruthlessness AND compassion.
As you can tell, I have high expectations for Dawn of Justice.

Though daily discipline can seem like a stifling prison, it is anything but. It’s a deliberate check against my inner cravings-forces which would dominate and debase me if I let them. That’s the worst kind of jail.
If the prison of discipline is one I freely choose, then I can’t help but consider myself unfettered and liberated, though I may be surrounded by its uncompromising starkness.

Upon learning statistics, I saw that facts/numbers are malleable; two different viewpoints/conclusions can be reached with the same data, depending on the method of presentation.
So the study of information must extend beyond the facade of numbers and theory, and go deep into motive and spirit. And this is where science and spirituality touch. Everything becomes a best guess, and the mind opens to all possibilities. (Maybe we are in the Matrix after all).

We all know how to demonize, to separate, and rain down destruction because someone is the ‘other.’ But the truly advanced will be able to kill while recognizing themselves in their enemy, and be all the deadlier for their understanding and empathy.
“And then, in that very moment when I love them…. I destroy them.”-Ender Wiggins from “Ender’s Game”

These two outcomes are influenced by the choices made every day, every minute, every thought.
- Let life squeeze all meaning from you. Become a procreating tube that eats with one end, excretes with the other. Or:
- You squeeze all meaning from life. And in the process touch on something greater.

That great river of time and life will wash over all souls, eroding them into mud as it strips off their coating of talent and luck.
Some rarefied few, however, will be revealed as having cultivated a gleaming core of awareness and focus, and these few will shine throughout the ages.
Musings
The evolved mind will inwardly laugh, perceiving the Cosmic Joke that is all of existence…
But will outwardly be able to perform with the sharpest focus; the utmost seriousness.

Common are the intellectual bullies; the ones who use detail and minutiae for petty dickering, to have the last word, and say “I told you so.”
Rare are those who know semantics but don’t indulge in them, realizing that words only point to truth and may be changed to fit context, so that they illuminate/unite, rather than doing the opposite.

We all know: A door shuts, another opens. Death, then life. And when we give birth to our dreams/aspirations, do we kill our humanity/compassion? Our ethics/kindness? Something must die, and we’ve seen those that choose this route.
I like those things, so instead I choose to kill off my complacency/ignorance, my cravings/self-deceptions.
The latter is, in my opinion, a fairer trade.
