About

Dirty Sci-Fi Buddha is the website for me:  author Kent Wayne.  The site name comes from the subject material in my early pieces of writing.

Three works are featured.  The first one is a series called Echo, a science fiction dystopia where a disillusioned warrior pushes his craft to its bloody limits, then attempts to break through into a realm of world-bending mastery.  I’ve finished this four-volume series, and I’ve also posted some free sample chapters, click here to start reading.

The second book is a high school adventure, full of profanity, psychedelics, and interdimensional shenanigans.  Here’s the link for the book on Amazon:  Kor’Thank:  Barbarian Valley Girl.   Sample chapters are available here:  Sample Chapters for Kor’Thank:  Barbarian Valley Girl

I’m working on a YA fantasy called the Unbound Realm, a three-volume series.  I’ve finished books one and two, and I’m working on the third.  Here’s a link to volume 1:  A Door into Evermoor  and here’s a link to volume 2:  Weapons of Old  Here are some sample chapters:  Sample Chapters for the Unbound Realm.

Thanks for your interest!  If you’re a writer, I wish you inspired drafting and insightful editing!  Best way to reach me is by DMing me on Facebook.  However, I have noticed some DMs getting filtered out by Facebook messenger, so if I don’t respond, just comment on my wall.  I’ll take it down, DM you, and address your concerns.  Sorry to all those who never got a response; I wasn’t trying to be rude!  🙂

  3. Thanks for following my site – it put yours on the map for me and I am intrigued! (I just looked at another comment and saw the word intrigue in theirs too – just want you to know that it is just a coincidence – plus – your site is intriguing!) I spent time in the military too – long time ago. I know that the military lifestyle changes perspective on life. Thanks – I am following your site too – cool stuff!

  4. I cannot remember if you are following my personal blog or my writing blog. If just my personal blog, I invite you to visit christophercolesite.wordpress.com and read the posted chapters of ENTRANCE EXAMINATION and discuss it. My brother is the only person who has been reading as far as I know, there have been some “so-and-so is following you or liked your post” but they have never made any comment. Not that I get a lot of comments on my personal blog but one purpose of the writing blog is comments on the content or style of my writing.

  6. It’s been a dream to call myself an author for a long time and my friends and I were walking on air when it became a reality on Monday. When you pressed that little follow button on my blog, you made my smile wider. Thank you 🙂

    • Alyson, I have been an author for about 50 years but I am not yet a PUBLISHED author unless my blog posts on gruundehn.wordpress.com and my novel on christophercolesite.wordpress.com count as being published. If you write, you are an author. Regardless of your status as published or unpublished.

      • Yeah best just to love it! Moby Dick was a failure until Melville died….why stake happiness on uncontrollable outcomes, you know? I can’t wait for others to validate my success before I start enjoying myself as a writer. 😉

      • Sorry for the late reply. I’m still learning to drive my blog :). If you have a story that people can read I consider you published. It has taken my friends and I a long time to put it all together and it is a wonderful feeling, that through our ups and downs we finished what we set out to do. I look forward to ready your stories…

  7. First and foremost I love the name you chose, and I enjoyed reading this section. Gonna be honest by saying I cringed when I started reading the bit covering the Crew beating, so well done setting up the intensely riveting scene!

Thank you for the follow as well. Many blessings!

    • Thank You So Much!!! Yeah Echo is pretty dark…I get a lot of my inspiration from Stephen King where you have a dark beginning and middle so the end can shine. I’m a big believer in happiness at the end!!! 😉

      • You are more than welcome because you most certainly have a knack for setting tone and believable characters! I’m looking forward to reading the rest of it 🙂
