About

Dirty Sci-Fi Buddha is the website for me:  author Kent Wayne.  The site name comes from the subject material in my early pieces of writing.

Three works are featured.  The first one is a series called Echo, a science fiction dystopia where a disillusioned warrior pushes his craft to its bloody limits, then attempts to break through into a realm of world-bending mastery.  I’ve finished this four-volume series, and I’ve also posted some free sample chapters, click here to start reading.

The second book is a high school adventure, full of profanity, psychedelics, and interdimensional shenanigans.  Here’s the link for the book on Amazon:  Kor’Thank:  Barbarian Valley Girl.   Sample chapters are available here:  Sample Chapters for Kor’Thank:  Barbarian Valley Girl

I’m working on a YA fantasy called the Unbound Realm, a three-volume series.  I’ve finished books one and two, and I’m working on the third.  Here’s a link to volume 1:  A Door into Evermoor  and here’s a link to volume 2:  Weapons of Old  Here are some sample chapters:  Sample Chapters for the Unbound Realm.

Thanks for your interest!  If you’re a writer, I wish you inspired drafting and insightful editing!  Best way to reach me is by DMing me on Facebook.  However, I have noticed some DMs getting filtered out by Facebook messenger, so if I don’t respond, just comment on my wall.  I’ll take it down, DM you, and address your concerns.  Sorry to all those who never got a response; I wasn’t trying to be rude!  🙂

  1. Thanks for becoming a follower on my blog! Though, I see that you’re following a lot of others… One wonders how you have time to read all these blogs you’re following! Maybe you read faster than I do (which is quite possible because I’m a horribly slow reader.) I look forward to reading your thoughts and comments on my posts. Also, I’m going to spend a some time (depending upon availability) to look at some of these other blogs you’re following and see if they are ones I want to stay up on as well.

    • Yes I have! Thank you muchly, Mr. Mark! I’m not trying to be a diva but I stopped following the protocol for those, as I’m kinda slammed for time and experience aching eyes and wrists as it is trying to keep up with my current writerly duties. Nevertheless, Thank You! I’m super flattered!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

      • I understand completely. They are time-consuming, especially finding new blogs, etc. I’ll probably do them once and never again, too. lol

    • Hey no problem! Really it’s just the shower and red lights—that’s where my musings come from. (Allegedly, I may have taken a heroic dose of DMT last summer, which also may have allegedly helped… 😉 )

  7. Thank you for “the like” !
As a sci fi reader, I appreciate your About page, about your sci fi stories– Buddhist and mystic wisdom, combined with “space opera” . I also appreciate your frankness — beware of the jokes!, so I have to admit I do not read the Echo stories.
In any case, you have reminded me of related sci fi stories I’ve read, one in particular by Roger Zelazny: “Appointment with Death” — about Buddha, The Enlightened One vs. the Deathgod, Yama. Thanks again.

  9. That does sound interesting. It’s a good concept, also original, which bears resemblance to some of our current issues and the dread of a dictorship. There was a dictatorship in my country until the eighties. Was pretty much like that. Except it had much lower techonology, tho.
