I used to think it was all about willpower, but when I focused purely on that, I’d burn myself out.  Now I think it’s a simple decision:  based on the available information, am I willing to do what it takes to execute my strategy?  If I am, then I get to work.  If not, then I save my energy for the next push.

    Best strategy.
Burn out is worse than ‘bloc’, weird things happen in writing during burn out.

    1. It ends up creating a ton more work for me, and from what I’ve heard about alpha-minded folk who schedule in a four-day break every few months, it actually increases their productivity.

I guess we all Walk The Walk different ways.
I go stop-start-stop-start etc. My characters like it that way, gives them time to think up new ways to take over the plot.
