While acknowledging an outcome, I find it useful to internally allow my emotional reaction to that outcome, even if it’s an antagonistic expression, such as anger or avoidance. If I try to jump straight to acceptance, I often leave an unresolved tangle of conflicting emotions, which nag and exhaust me if I fail to process them out.

I completely understand what you mean. If I do not allow myself to feel all I have to feel and try to jump straight to acceptance or letting go, I battle with conflicting emotions that drown me. thanks for sharing. I can totally relate

Yes! I have to acknowledge and feel all of the things I am feeling before I can begin to deal with them.
