I’ve worked with plenty of people who are deeply invested in being perceived as “right.” I’ve worked with only a few who are deeply interested in GETTING it right.
I prefer the second over the first, hands down.

Yes! And it’s funny how much hard work they will put into being perceived as right when their efforts would go so much farther in getting it right.

And how damn irritating it is when you’ve spent ages getting it right to come up against someone who must be perceived to be right
