Musings

Personally, I believe the key to perceiving dogma (and how to escape it) lies in knowing/disciplining myself enough to be ethical first, effective second.ย

Unfortunately, it seems that if you become ethical and effective enough, people will construct a dogma around you, and stop concerning themselves with ethics and effectiveness.

    1. Indeed! I think having the patience and astuteness to figure out exactly when to take action against intolerance propagates wisdom, harmony, and character.

  3. Scary thought… someone trying to create a dogma around me. I would never consider myself important enough to be the source of others’ rules to live by.

    1. I think it’s why being a parent is such a huge responsibility…I feel that people will create dogmas worshipping or demonizing their parents. It’s awesome when I see adults that can be true friends with their moms and dads later in life.
