Our life is guaranteed to come to an end, one way or another. So to make most of what time we have left, it becomes necessary to understand who we are, what we’re trying to achieve and why, so we can align our actions and convictions with worthwhile results.

Hey, if you got that, no need to rely on dogma, right? That’s basically what all traditions are—at their core—telling people to do, from what I’ve seen.

Crap! I double-posted! Or if I just repeated myself, it’s probably because I churn these out by the fistful, haha! Either way, my apologies. 🙂

Thanks brother, haha! I’ve gotten brained a few times, so that may have something to do with it. Yeah man—happy fireworks and bbq! 🙂

Yes, yes, yes! I agree whole-heartedly. Your whole life is about shaping, adapting, revising and it only comes about because we value discovering who we are!

Indeed! I actually treat people who refuse to look at themselves as lacking free will. Because they seem to repeat the same mistakes over and over again, I just try to treat them kindly; I feel like they’re trapped in the same patterns until they decide to look in the mirror and do something about their programming.

Exactly, as the old cliche goes – “You can’t help those who can’t help themselves.” Pain and frustration creates tipping points eventually, good or worse.

Indeed! I believe the proof in “tipping points” can be found in the concept of the addict’s rock bottom.
