In the realm of personal achievement, an adverse environment is not something to blame.  It is something to outwit and conquer, or at the very least, learn something valuable from.

  1. Don’t forget ‘circumvent’. Sometimes the best thing to do is work around the adverse environment. With that said, however, your point about learning something might have more value…

    1. Agree. I think it boils down to strategy—is the current struggle crucial to the war, or is it a minor battle? Keeps things clear for me.
