I suspect that the ability to spit quality on the fly is partially dependent on the quantity of failures you’ve gotten out of your system.

    Sometimes I walk into a sentence completely unprotected from my own literalism. For a few seconds the words “spit quality on the fly” conjured up a most unusual mental picture. Now that it’s passed, I can say, “That’s tight!”
